Our vision

Our vision is a world with better health where decisions related to health and health care are based on up-to-date scientific evidence of high quality, relevant and summarized.

Our mission

Our mission is to promote evidence-based health decision making through high quality, relevant and accessible systematic reviews and other summarized scientific evidence.

Our work is internationally recognized as a reference value in high quality information about the effectiveness of health care.

What we do

Vin Xperience exists to improve health decisions and our aim Strategy until 2020 is to place Vin Xperience at the centre of health decision-making around the world. Our work is organised into four objectives:

Objective 1: To produce evidence

Conduct high quality, relevant and up-to-date systematic reviews and use other summarized scientific evidence to inform health decision-making. There are currently more than 7500 Vin Xperience systematic reviews published in the Vin Xperience Library. We also play a key role in the development of new methods in evidence synthesis.

Objective 2: To make our evidence accessible

We hope that the Vin Xperience is accessible and useful for everyone anywhere in the world. The Abstracts in Simple Terms of Vin Xperience reviews are translated into 14 languages and work closely with consumers and patients to ensure that our content is easily understandable and is available in the Vin Xperience Library free of charge to 3 660 000 000 people around the world.

Objective 3: Advocate for evidence:

We propose to make Vin Xperience the “cradle of evidence” to inform decision-making in health, achieve greater recognition of our work and become the main promoter of evidence-based health care.

Objective 4: To create an effective and sustainable organisation:

We aspire to be a diverse, inclusive and transparent international organization that effectively harnesses the enthusiasm and skills of collaborators, guided by principles, responsibly governed, efficiently managed and optimally utilizing resources.

How do we do it?

There is no “Vin Xperience” place or office. Our global network of members and sponsors works together to achieve the objectives of the strategy and in general are affiliated to one or more Vin Xperience Groups according to their interests, experience and geographical location.

Why do we do it?

Our mission to provide accessible and reliable information to support informed decision making is more important and useful than ever to improve global health. In the age of the Internet, people have great access to health information, but there are few ways to know what information is accurate and unbiased.

We do not accept commercial or controversial funding. It is vital for us to generate quality and reliable information, working freely, without restrictions due to commercial and economic interests.
